Fearsome and cruel outcast Hengist, mistakes Gwen for Morgana and kidnaps her. Arthur and Morgana turn to Uther for help, who refuses to pay the ransom. Defying his father's authority, Arthur goes to Gwen's rescue ready to face all the dangers of an enemy territory and fight for the girl's freedom. Merlin suspects that Arthur's concern comes from something deeper than a prince's devotion to one of his people and that he cares about Gwen in a personal way. To make matters worse, when Arthur reaches Hengist's castle he finds out that he is not alone in the quest: Lancelot has arrived earlier with the same purpose and powerful feelings between Gwen and Lancelot have been rekindled. How will Arthur react?
